i THINK glen water may have eel tail, they have silvers.

you'd be surprised how well the mail order from qld works. ausyfish will ship to the airport and is better for larger qty. live fish.com.au will ship to your door

Which raises the question.... what was/is the difference in the packaging/method used by those delivering to the door and/or airport???

You'd tend to think there would be greater potential for losses.

there was alot more water volume per fish ratio with the air freighted stock than what the dud had for our last lot rope.........the last 2 lots of air freighted fish outlived what we got from kangaroo grounds...maybe coz he is closing he doesnt give a rats....but 80 litres of water for 70 fish that should have been in 3 times that amount is wrong

Does anyone in Vic know where I can get a large concrete in ground tank?
I am after 10-20,000 litres. The only place that I have managed to find is in Port Maquarie NSW. Great looking 20,000l square tank, could park a car on it(or a fish tank.......)They want $1500 to transport it down though.

dont know much about concrete tanks, but wouldn't it cost a fortune to transport?

C1 could prolly give you tips on making one onsite!

they have the same lifespan as plastic tanks, possibly more than corro, but what is your reason for wanting one? Also, making it onsite would be the cheapest

The reason for the concrete tank is that I want it hooked up to the stormwater from the house. Pipes run undersgound out the back. I know a plumber who will hook it up for me, just need a big tank that can be buried and concrete is the only option.
The water will be used for the garden, toilets, washing machine and eventually the AP system.
Have looked at pre-fab and onsite, and from the quotes so far, the pre-fab is cheaper except for delivery from NSW.
I have found a couple of septic tank places and am awaiting quotes from them.
Thanks for the response.

Have you thought of making one yourself using besser blocks - then an appropriate render/sealer.

No, would that work? 20,000 litres of water would have lots of pressure, would the besser bricks hold up to it?
