Naw, that was in front of the computer. My lil bro had just got done playing and we were mixing stuff. He's got something like 20 guitars and all the jazz needed to self produce his own stuff :P

Yep, to the fishermen's dismay. Right after a fish stock crash the seal population shot up in that area over the last ten years, along with a large increase in sightings of great whites. My cousin snorkels with the seals. My policy is "never swim with bait": out here a fellow lost his head a couple years back, rather unexpectedly, completely, and literally.

Local rule here is "don't swim near the seal colonies": the sharks wait near shore for dinner to hop into the water. Diving from a boat in open water is a lot safer as you are away from the feeding spots...they seem to like shores. I've never heard of dive boats having trouble with shark attacks, more with beaches (swimming/snorkeling/surfing). Plus, water here is about 10degC, so we all wear wetsuits and look rather seal-like until the sharks take a taste and spit us out for lack of bodyfat ("diet seals!?! ptthhh!").

What? Upgrading from snorkelling Steve?? We'll need a new picture! (btw, getting my ticket was one of the best things I ever did.)

PS, where can you get your ticket for $300? oR IS THE $300 'towards' your ticket?

Diet Seals - rofl! afaik you are right though.

This is me in Vanuatu -Scuba Steve Style- (huh! I hear a new nick coming on when we get a photo of you on you OW course Steve!)
