feed a little anyway, the bacteria will eat it eventually, if nothing else will. This should keep the ammonia up enough.

Your fish may not eat, but your bacteria will die without food. then you'll have to ramp up slowly in summer, to avoid ammonia and nitrite spikes.

Not to mention your plants not doing so well...

I picked up some silver perch yesterday, they are still smallish but have been taking artificial food for the past fortnight.
No losses so far :)

They're about 1" and eating dust, the breeder sold me enough to get them up to taking something slightly larger

Are you needing SP feed?
I am thinking of getting another 20kg bag ( I think 20kg) of SP food. I have been slowly working my way through it for the last 14 months. Never used anything else from small fingerling size.

Where do you get your feed fizzyj? The hatchery man tells me you can't buy sp feed in WA, he has to bring it over from the east. :(

got a friend in the wholesale petshop supply business. he gets it from a place in forrestfield.
if you take a drive up tonkin hwy to roe hwy, you will smell something that smells like vomit that has been fermented for a few days or red rooster on a good day.
I think that is the place.
I will have a look for the details, but I think I tossed them a few months back, however I have posted their details here a long time ago.

None at all, have just come back from there, the price was $30.10 per bag, they even loaded it into the car for us.
