Nice growth TT...

Like the attitude about just leaving it to do it's thing as well.. If it aint broke leave it alone, so what if it's a bit cooler... :)

Hi Delgrade, originally the bricks were to stop leaves falling in the standpipes and causing blockages b4 the plastic went on. Just haven't taken them off yet. I have a look in them every now and then and they are always full of mossie wrigglers. I figure if they can't get out the standpipe, they finish up inside a fishes tummy sooner or later. Could be wrong. Hadn't thought about the light thing gemmell, but ur prolly right.

I will be interested to see how much of the year the fish eat solidly EB. They have been raised outdoors over winter so temps would have been around 10C at times. These guys have fed steadily from 13-14C. The only time they have really gone nuts on the tucker was when temps hit 23-24 for a few days. At 19 or so, they eat really well without killing each other to get at the food. I have been pleasantly surprised how quickly the breeders have got back on the chow after the stress of their moving.

TT, I have been doing my tom plants as raimo displayed..the cherry tom stems are over 6 metres long now (lying along the GBs) and I am training them around the end of the GH to bring them back up the other side....they just continually flower and fruit the more I remove the older branches

The other variety of toms are also fruiting well but not as quick growing (2-3 metres)...grosse lisse, roma, beef heart.

Toms were planted mid july and still going strong
