Ok, before everyone, or anyone, gets off on the wrong foot, I'll explain the intention of my post.
Firstly, I did in a sense issue a challenge to Codi to reveal his experience(s) in aqauaponics for the following reasons...
As a "new" member you appeared and began posting the same post to multiple threads,
The same post was inserted to each thread essentially asking people to join an unannounced, unknown group/consortium with the purpose of investing in large amounts of land and equipment.....
While not specified, it smacked as a lead in to a concept of "please send us xxxx amount to indicate your acceptance of this prepoposal etc etc...
In short, (and no offence meant if you are genuine Codi) it had all the "hallmarks" of a spammer... and we do get quite a few here...
At the time no mods were available... to be up front I also "blueflagged" the posts to alert the mods to have them look at both the posts and membership.
As to comments about posting to multiple threads, while I perhaps see some logic to your approach Codi, it is already apparent that at least two threads have attracted replies, postitive or otherwise.
This is exactly the reason that the approach is flawed and counter-productive.... because differentr people post to different threads and/or confusion and cross-posts reign..... again to be upfront I have asked the mods ( and had thought that I had PM'd Codi directly) to delete all but one thread.
There is a dedicated "commercial" thread, so I think it would have been appropriate to investigate the forum, locate that thread and post it there accordingly.... this alone would have directed "anyone searching" for such a proposal directly to the appropriate area... see the portal page for a thread entitled "Commercial Systems" and the adjoining comments relating to the threads purpose...
http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/index.php
As to asking that someone proposing to form some sort of commercial entity.... then yep I think it's entirely valid to ask that they reveal not only their intentions, but their expertise and/or commercial backing etc...
To allow commercial requests and advertising of commercial ventures on this board is an issue for the operators of the forum to comment on...
But if anyone is going to jump on the forum from anonimity to suggest forming a commercial venture which will require large amounts of funding ... then I think it is not only fair, but in a sense a duty of care to provide members of the forum with information of just who is involved and where/what/who backs them etc.
I'm not doing so DT, and neither are or have others..... those that might have in the past have been asked the same question....
And in all honesty DT, if I or someone turned up out of the blue and unannounced and asked you to commit to such a proposal, wouldn't you ask or attempt to find out what their expertise (if any) was before commiting yourself to the project and/or recommending it to others????
