Think that the small and pretty and nice is a modern idea anyway.

The traditional faerie was more an earth elemental, an unpredictable and dangerous being that could be whimsical but more likely maelovent (sp?) towards men. Beauty was an acquired taste, with creatures of faerie ranging between 'otherworldly' and downright dog-ugly.

Sounds like you got one of them, KP.

Pretty faries with gossamer wings that live at the bottom of the garden (or ap system) were a Victorian creation mostly.

Snag

Unfortunately it is likely that the modern generation will forget the original stories of faeries, like putting out food and drink to appease them (if there good why do you need to appease) and only remember the ad mans representation. Even Tinkerbell was not all sweetness and light.

What this has to do with KP's system I'm not sure, just pissed off at the moment :( .

a fairy is pretty, nice and imaginary. A faerie however from Gaelic folklore is very different. Beware the faerie.

Must have been a big blockage to stop that pump, a little enthusiastic with the gb media KP?

BTW Davey's and Onga's (pool pumps) are not normally noisey.

Onga is nicely quiet.. flow is up since I cleared the pipe.
entusiastic with GB media? the blockage was a twig - don't ask how it got though 4 metres and 4 elbows to get into the pump, but there you are.

Whoever suggested removal of filters from pumps to aid solids collection in GB - Grrrrrrr it doesn't work for me...

BTW - 10 pages! wow, I've hit the big time, even if the last 2 pages are full of OT faerie discussion - That I started, I know...
Has anybody else ever hijacked their own thread? or am I the first?

That was the way I read it - and lots of duckweed was getting caught in the filter and blocking it. And I had to clear regularly, just like they said... Anyhow. Perhaps I should have put the covers over my tanks like I was planning eh?

We all make mistakes.
