A question about the banana/potassium idea. Is that the banana skin/the entire banana/the inside meat of the banana? I am guessing that it is the skin that has the pesticides. Is that correct?

yeah but in all actuality wash it well and you should be fine. bananas are actually covered in plastic to keep them looking nice and protecting from insect in our part of the woods. Any pesticide would be applied to the plant and the plastic bag. When in the boat, they are gassed to make them all ripen at once. Not sure what the gas is but you and I have been eating it. The apple growers use the same gas.

Is this the whole banana? Skin and all? Isn't the skin where the pesticides are? Would the meat of a non-organic banana be safe?

I used liquid Dr. Earth. Its a wide spectrum organic fertilizer. I was worried about my fish but so far its been fine. I dilute several tablespoons into a pitcher of water and just pour it into the fish pond. It works great.

I'm kinda lazy, so instead of diagnosing induvidual issues I just use this. I try to use small amounts applied often.

why not just use potash, instead of messing around with bananas?
I used it diluted in water and sprayed it on and my plants started to recover within 24 hours... rather then smuggling bananas into my growbed and hoping it works :/

I have foxfarm nutrients I did use at one time. However I decided against hydroponics and am attempting to do Aquaponics :) Fertilizer is damn expensive.

It would run somewhere around 90$ a month in fertilizer for the system I am running in the garage.

I would rather use more natural methods.
