Thermal transfer enough to pull the return water up to the roof alone Tony or do you have a small pump running?

Rupe,
I have it in the sump return to the fish pond. When the GBs fill & drain, the float switch operates the sump pump, pushing the water up onto the roof, around my loop and back into the FP. To prevent the pipe on the roof from draining back to the sump or pond, I drilled a couple of holes in it and vented both pipes to a 12mm poly hose which just buffers any spurting from the pump side pipe. The flow back to the FP sucks air (and any water from the pump side which spurts out) back into the pipe and when the pump stops, there remains water in about 40M of the 40mm pipe. This water heats up and is dumped into the FP when the pump starts running.

If I am around, I initiate the pump run, or interrupt it to obtain several more operations of the sump pump and delivery of more heated water into the FP.

What is that media in your seed raising bed?
Are you watering that with the flood and drain of the bed?

KP, the seed raising tray has sand and worm castings in it, along with the caterpillars ;) Yes, I have sunk the tray into the hydrotron to take advantage of the Flood cycle to water the seed raising bed.
I have not continued using these as I find it easier to direct sow into the hydrotron.

I have been teaching caterpillars to swim, but the fish don't seem to mind them and there have been no casualties amongst the caterpillars due to fish bites. They all seem to have failed the swimming lesson. 100% seem to have drowned.

Is Dipel safe for use in my BYAP system?

Wow ... along with some of my year 8 students I had my arm up a few dairy cows rear ends this week (pregnancy checking!)

But I think I would find it difficult to train a lady pig to to Dive into a growbed full of hydrotron!

OK .. stupid joke...

Term ends on Friday ... I am exhausted..

But 8 students of my after school Wado Ryu Karate class won their yellow belts today! KEWL!

Meet soon Tony...
