Certainly get some nice peppers down your way Slicer. Managed to get some Big Jim seeds and they have that large nice foliage.

If the're fruiting well not sure its a potassium deficiency, what are your nitrates like at the moment?

Need to get a Nitrate test :(

Ammonia is lower but I added 60 gallons to the system so... My ammonia is around .5 now.

Nitrites are still as dark as the dark gets :)

Keep at it SD, problems are still ahead when the cycle kicks in and all the nitrite is converted to nitrate...more HSM

Steve fox farm nutrients that I usto use in my indoor system. I am moving all my nutrient bottles out to the garage.

That one is Grow Big 1 gallon. Expensive stuff I say :/

Ohh and I converted from using nutrients like that to no nutrients then to Aquaponics on the indoor system. Took about two months to cycle so the fish were in a safe environment.

Do the new barrels still smell of iodine? Might make it hard for the bacteria until it dissipates.

Nah I cleaned them really good no smell of iodine at all.

Ohh and my Ammonia is setting at 0ppm however my nitrites are really high still.

I just tore down my first system and transplanted everything out to the garage system. I am going to do a indoor barrelponic system. This should make it nicer to have flood/drain :)

My very first post has been edited to contain 2 days of growth in a animated gif. I will be updating it everyday to show growth as it occurs. This should give a good idea of growth speeds on things under light :)

What you mean DT? I am limited right now on what I can do so I am re-engineering the indoor NFT to be Ebb&Flow :)

Here is a mockup sorta of what I am going to do. And I will also note this is my older system that I started with.

Those racks can hold about 1000lbs so I figure it will be safe :) as for the old system well everything got transplanted out like I said. I do think that it will be better served having it all transplanted anyway as I figure this will be my herb rack.

Parsley, Oregano, Mint etc will go here. Then with having the fingerlings and mating tanks behind my computer I can keep a eye on them easier :)

I still have a huge amount of work to do with plumbing on this one but I prefer hard pvc pipe now after working with it in the garage. I had been planning on tearing down the system behind me from the moment I found this site here and wanted to transplant everything elsewhere so it had more room.

Perhaps the stand will hold the weight. I am a little more worried about the wheels and the floor below them. That is a lot of weight transfered to 4 small points.
