When I was readying my first grow bed for gravel, I noticed possum crap in the empty beds. (plastic not on greenhouse yet). Does anyone know what effect this would have , if any on the system. Would it just be extra nutrients, or be detrimental. Just curious

You'll need to re- wash all your gravel and steralize your grow beds Stu.

**Man that was worth it even though i couldn't see your face :) Sorry :)**

Cant see it being too much of an issue

If your desired effect was for me to cancel all my aquaponic projects at the thought of having to wash that gravel again, you were on the money!

I am starting to wonder if it wasn't the possums that ate all my newly shooting sugar snap peas. I would estimate local population at somewhere between 5 and 10.

Damn, so they really do get stuck into the veggie patch. I may have to initiate a "relocation" program

Exactly. Not very subtle am I. As for actually doing it, I wouldn't be able to. I will get someone to trap them for me and take them far far away......

I have seen the devastasion they cause.
We have had families of them, they ring bark things like lemons mandoes
orange apple and break everything they climb on.GGGGrrrr.
They are solid as rocks and cute as... don't know what.
The human(only just) next door chopped a huge number of trees down, the ones that survived came over here.(possums)
