Seriously, Greenhouse.... It all comes down to the amount of space you have available, and how big your budget is.

In terms of what you grow, it's probably a matter of what you like to eat.

Any existing (sized) greenhouse can be converted to be part of an aquaponics system .... basically, we are just replacing the tap/hose water and added fertilisers with the fish water (in built fertiliser) and then the best bit is we then recycle the water over and over....

We also replace the soil with gravel, clay balls or some sort of media, so that any soil based nasties and diseases don't get into the fish tank...

I have a feeling that you're going to try and sell your dad on this idea... right Greenhouse

very funny. Nah, I've already decorated his greenhouse, I'm making him a little sign for X-mas to hang on the door. Don't tell him, but I think he already knows

why dont you get 2x 50L to 80L clear buckets and set up your own little AP system with your favourite fish (prolly even warm enough for some low end tropicals in that green house) and favourite veggies (strawberries?)

get dad to plumb your little system into his main system, that way you'll be sharing his water and you cant go wrong :) you can call it your own little AP system

yeah, thanks. Dad said I should set up my own AP system. I agree. I'm just gonna take a few of his 407 his silver perch fish and put them in our non-working spa that he used when he started as a trial run. My fav fish is...well, I don't really have one, but I don't know what I'll be growing. I really like cherry tommies. To bad you can't grow stuff like potatoes with AP
