2 lines is most efficient use of space (14 beds), with good access to beds.
You could do the 10 bed single row with 500mm access, but using a 400 mm inter-bed access would give good access and allow one more bed. A small (400mm*400mm) bed at the end of each inter-bed access way could be used to provide additional GB space without compromising access to the main GBs.

The tight single row would be difficult to plant and harvest, unless you have a very long (2M) reach.

David,
Please note that I don't yet have a functioning system, only what you can see in the photos (well a touch more advanced since then but hey ;-) ) but I would have no problem at all if you wanted to visit.

Got a question for you guys.
The folowing image is a diagram of the sun in my driveway at different points during the day.

The two bucket like tubs are growbeds

Question is: Do I have enough sun? (time is Daylight savings, so sun is overhead at 1:00pm)

I was thinking if I got desperate, I could put mirrors up on the wall of the house and the fence?
I'm also planning to cover with corrugated laserlight style roofing, maybe box it in for a greenhouse.
If I use that commercial corrugated perspex roofing, does it matter what grade it is? because everybody advertises UV proof panels etc, Do I need the UV? do I need to try and buy dodgy ones with no protection?

That's my darling little Chloe, she's 14 Months old, a pure bred willful boxer mobile demolition unit.
But she's getting better. I'm told boxers don't mature until they're 2 years old :-( Well, they say like owner lik dog... 2 * 10 is 20 in dog years, I'm not sure if I'm mature yet and I'm 27! :-)

KP, most plants don't need "full" sunlight ALL day long.... in fact it's probably beneficial (on hot summers days) to have some partial shade time.... think you'll be fine.....

PM KEII..... he has his system along the side of his house and from memory receives no where near the amount of solar exposure you seem to have.

She does, little bitch. I wonder if b i t c h is 'potty mouth' I was being quite literal.
But I will be using Hard nasty scoria. I believe I have mostly stopped her digging anyhow.
I kept yelling and smacking her for digging, but then had the idea to continue, unless she dug in a particular corner. She has adopted said corner as hers now. However I did find that I needed to continue filling said corner in and making it pretty so that she didn't grow bored. But at least she's not destroying plants anymore...
I am mildly concerned as she enjoys veggies at dinner time.
Has anybody tried root veggies like carrots?

Thanks Rupert, I thought the same, but some1 asked earlier in this thread if I'd have enough light, and I started to doubt myself. God knows the weeds grow well enought through the cracks in the concrete :-) I appreciate the advice
