I have been looking for a cheap tank for a while and have come across and interesting one. Tankworld can sell their fibre reinforced tanks poly tanks in two indentical halves (they leave out the inspection opening in the top). If you take their 10000 litre tank for example you could have two 5000 litre tanks approx 1.1 metres deep for just under $800 each. This isn't too bad, the only trouble is that I don't need two. Are any members in S/E Queensland interested in going halves? To see their tanks go and check out their catalogue www.tankworld.com.au/images/downloads/product_range.pdf
(Make sure you are looking at the fibre reinforced tanks they don't have a curved top)

You know I spoke to them a while back, told them what I wanted to do and no one ever told me they could do that. Seems it depends on who you talk to, but that would make 2 great tanks IMHO

I looked at these a while back and wondered if you could do this. Does anyone know if the sell scratched and dented products cheeper? (i.e. halves that they couldn't join together)

I'm currently investigating buying tank seconds from the factory near here. They should be about half price. But you have to get them when the factory has made a stuff up. Not always available in all sizes.

King eric, give team poly at Lonsdale a call. Their seconds are around half price. My 2300 litre poly tank cost only $385. Cheap feed troughs too useful for grow beds.

Yeah, I had a snif around Team Poly a while back, had some cheep stuff there. I also found a www. for a place in Vic who sells cheep seconds wheelie bins including the really big type. I was looking at a 600lt one but I think they also have bigger. Dont want to pay too much freight though. Will keep looking in SA
