I'm in Canberra at the 'mo, visiting friends...enjoying the pleasures of LaLaLand. Saw these ?Koi/Carp in a pond at Federation Square (Somewhere at a place Gold Creek). The pond had a serious algae bloom, and they were all trying to swim on top of the water. Whoppers too, they would have been over 40 cm long. (not that I know what is big for carp). Funny thing was that they were all swimming in big circles, causing quite a boil in the pond. I tried to get a good pic, but when they saw someone come over they were expecting to be fed...

Be good, wouldn't it. Looks like a growbed in the back. By the look of it they were filling in the ponds one by one, a local said that the stink from them was pretty bad at times when the weather got hot.

Ok, picked up a stock tub today...$200... 1.4 metres diameter and 450mm deep. It will be the pond in SNAG1...a decorative pond and herb garden off our bedroom window in the enclosed courtyard, which is 1.8 x 1.4 metres...not much space. It was either an ap system there, or a spa...and an outdoor spa in "Woomby in winter is out of the question. :lol:

Of course, I know that Aussieponic will now be green with envy that I am building a bigger system than his... :lol:
