Nah - that's cheating. Not the same as when you have sweated over them for 9-12 months, nearly killing them several times etc etc etc :lol:

Yeah I know I felt guilty thats why I waited till tonight to eat it and not last night. I do have to know what they taste like and it was mmmmmmmm beautiful and mouth watering. I have never before eaten Barramundi that I caught myself.

It only took a few minutes but I only caught one for an appetizer. It takes longer to get all the photographic evidence.

Did you weigh it Faye? B interesting to compare with the Jades. I expect jades have a lot more weight for their length - but I am very much looking forward to having barra to eat (long way off for me though :-()

The weight of the barramundi was 4oog and after I filletted it there was 200g or about half the weight in flesh which I thought was pretty good.

Like the Jades - you might find that there will be a big difference (in weight) as they grow the next few centimeters.
