alright, if you were in a shopping centre and Johnnie or Kev07 and respective minders came up to you and asked you to vote for them, what would you say to each/either of them?

To Johnnie I'd say... "I've had enough of your Spin, Lies, Deceit, Deception and Dishonesty", that's why I'm turfing you out.....

To Kevin I'd say.... "I've had enough of Spin, Lies, Deceit, Deception and Dishonesty", If you continue down that path then I'll turf you out next time round.....

BK... I assume Bonsai is John Howard... why do you call him that?

BK... I am upset at any Australian who has died for his nation, I know they are doing the job that they signed up for. They are following orders. I will never blame or condone the actions of the soldier. Only the person at the top who put them there and is telling them what to do.

My leader does not reflect on me, nor do I reflect on my leaders. I am my own person. I don't think the country has become less smarter because of our leaders... We are getting dumber because less and less smart people are having children... The baby bonus is only a bribe for the lower social economic groups to make babies. Including and not limited to the mooching non english speaking immigrants.

I fear it is a 'better of two evils' situation. One of them is going to get into power. Neither option is too appealing. Especially to guy who would be taking over for JH. All of these major polititions are weasels, you shouldn't
believe any of the things they are saying now... Each side is saying what the other isn't... lol. They are telling us what we want to hear...

Now whoever thinks that this whole iraq/afganistan thing is just going to disappear if labor gets into power you are wrong. Whoever thinks that Australia will willingly damage our relationship with the US by doing so, is wrong. We are too deep in the shit here people. Plus it is not our leader that we should be blaming for the war in the middle east or the civilian casualties. I think the US still would have gone in without us... We have a fraction of the troops over there, our troops are training the iraqi police, building schools, flying in supplies. My friends son is over there training mechanics to repair vehicles. We never commited any bombers or missiles to the war, only troops, ships and transport.

I think it was a good decision for Australia to support the US in these campaigns. We don't have too many allies in this world. And we need them, just look at our neighbors.

You can't expect either party to willingly sign the Kyoto agreement, because to comply with the regulations will cost us far too much and far too many jobs will be lost.

By signing it doesn't mean we will suddenly be a cleaner nation... it just opens more avenues to get around the carbon debts. And anyone who thinks China will suddenly change is dead wrong as well. Try telling them to get rid of coal and power 2 billion people using cleaner fuels... lol, I don't want to be the guy telling them that... Yes they are a member of Kyoto, but they are exploiting every loophole they can find...

Everyone here is shouting renewable energy... But at its current technology is far too expensive and impractical for the government to justify. Plus how many people do you think work at the solar power plants.... hmmm. 1 or 2 at most. Compared to coal. Our only other option is nuclear. So if we sign Kyoto, guess what... Nuclear... We need to see the bigger picture here... think of the people. I do want to be in a country which is fueled by clean renewable energy, but I may have to pass that dream down to my children and do my own part in the mean time.

I just thank god it isn't the dick head on the podium that is making ALL the decisions. I am more concerned with state and local representatives. Because ultimately, Rudd or Howard's actions will not directly affect me. Who is going to fix the traffic on Hale Rd in Forrestfield? Who is going to fix the public transport routes? Who is going to give me a rebate on my solar panels?

We need to look past the media and the political tactics and use some common sense... Look at the history of the parties.

I hope I haven't pissed off too many people... but like you said ROZ, I am obliged to express my opinion.

John Howard gets called Bonsai because he seems to copy everything that George W Bush does, and so could be called "Little Bush" or "Bonsai"
