I was talking about Kevin - but could apply to either (I'm just used to the other ).

I just wish there was something better. Kev makes my skin crawl.

Hoh hummmm (said in the best of Ent) Rupert and all. :grommit:

Rupert you put forth a good defensible argumentwith enthusiasm and you are long lived and have the recollection of a lifes experiences that the entlings(pups) are yet to have the benifit of such hind-site. To share such knowledge without political bias or ajenda so that others may share your expeiences and form their own opinions is an uncommon gift.

I believe it is greed, misdirection and apathy that the polititians plunder and trade. There is little benifit that can come from this for any of us, and as you may want to argue this, as with politicians, parties and politics, I say semantics. (politics is the economics of money not the environment or the people)

I cannot help but feel that the problem with politics (as self serving in my opinion as unionism regardless of what it has/has not achieved) is the duck in the reeds syndrome, our elected leaders have grown a healthy deep matted bed of reeds and it is hard to see the light if you enter their reed bed, come out into the pond and look at the whole ecosystem (thats like an AP tie in).

I do not believe there is a future in culture of now or materialism. (political stock in trade)

My view is simplistic. parties personalities, economies, empires all will fall and fail. As have species. As you say, look at history, balance always comes but not nessacarily in our terms.

So vote with your concience/ passion or opinion. I do not concern myself with the petty affairs of polititian, not even as entertainment. For my vote the quiet guy that has unobtainable carbon target (as a nation we usto share common dreams) and a green policy that is beyond affording in our monetary terms or even some one who looks to plan longer than several terms in power draws my attention . If I cannot find him then I will vote for change. That at least is constant :o

good Ent moot!
:D

C1, I am going to have to defend my fellow pups... I am not going to claim that I have an opinion on unions because I don't have the first clue. However I don't think anybody here has said or feels that the sacrifice of our soldiers has not effected or concerned us in some way.

If there is an immediate and complete withdrawal then the whole war and the lives that have been lost would have been all for nothing... Iraq will collapse in on itself. We have stirred up a giant ants nest here, we can't just forget about it...

im lost with your comment man......wtf are soldiers for....why do they join the army? if they didnt go to war then they are akin to dole bludgers n liberal voters ;)......dont get me wrong i dont think oz has an involvement in a war the seppo's( george w) started but if u look back the yanks were the only ones to come "help" defend darwin etc against the nippon........not being a smart arse but if the loss of our soldiers has deeply effected you can you name them individually without google?

also we havent stirred up an ants nest....go google the history/ religions of those areas that george "iq of a retard" bush decided to invade in order to employ US contractors and get the chance to play with a few toys and meet his budget expeniture for the yr...and you will see that it was a waste of time fighting religeous freaks who know no better

ummm, said nothing about a future that sux, just the actual people who we have the obligation to vote for. Just another series of broken promises are coming, and election promises that don't have to be fulfilled unless we re-elect them for a second or subsequent term... ie Kev saying by 2012 he will double the undergrad scholarships. Well he doesn't have to live up to his promise if we don't vote for him, bit like any party saying they will halve or whatever emissions by 2050, how the hell can they claim that if they will be *frack* dead by then anyway?

When I say I don't like the look of him - I don't mean that I think he dresses badly, is ugly, has a bad hairstyle or anything like that.

I mean that I think he is a weasle. Honesty is something that seems to be lacking severely on both sides.
