Hey VB,

Did you ever pick up those bulk bags of pellets in Mt Gravatt?

What's the address / name of where you get them from?

I picked up a kilo of 2mm pellets from the Brokkfield Produce store at the (in hindsight) ridiculous price of a whopping $18.00.

So I am keen to get large quantity for only $2.00 per kilo.

Tell me, please, tell me.

Oh and by the way, the remainder of the 100 jade perches all seem to be happy now, and they are eating. What a joy to watch when you sprinkle some pellets on the surface, take a step back and next thing you see is lots of movement on the surface and all food is gone.

Had better pipe it all up to a growbed soon I think.

Karel.

Karel - I got a 25kg bag of 4mm pellets for just under $50. Got them from Hay You Pet Supplies 544 Kessels Rd MacGregor 4109 (07) 3420 0870 Fax (07) 3420 0820.

4mm is big enough I reckon even for my big silvers (though they would handle 6mm fine). Fingerlings may struggle with the 4mm until they are 10 or so centimeters long (but a brick can fix that).

I imagine it would cost a bit to send 25kg bags by post Steve - but this is an option if you can't get anything down there.

On second thoughts, just ask one of the stockists to get what you want with their next shipment.

They do - but I would imagine that could be of mixed types. Mate, I'll sell you 5kg for $50 and throw in the postage for free

Steve, im not sure what type of feed it is but soladome sell all diff sizes of feed.

Fish food (high protein) allow $ 4.50 per litre for packing & postage

We have for sale small quantities of fish food from the stock we hold to feed our experimental fish systems.

1.5 mm starter

$4.00 per litre

2mm pellet
$3.50 per litre

5 mm pellet
$3.00 per litre

7 mm pellet
$3.00 per litre

9 mm pellet
$3.00 per litre

That was from the site below, and the store is located in Adelaide, which is good for me, but not as good for you....

Thanx daniel, but at $3 + $4.5 (per kg) 25kgs would be $$187.5

I'd get trout pellets, but the fat content is 2x the feed for natives and i have heard that this can be a problem

Steve, Ideally you would want to find a spot locally....Its a pity you cant get a list of the stockists of the feed.

When i enquired at soladome about silver perch, they were $2 each, and when they found out i wanted 100, they said i might be able to get a discount.....I have been meaning to go to the store and have a look around but haven't managed to get there yet
