Spu vomit.
My dad taught me ikky jimmy, the skewer in their brain trick, it is quick and painless (for me anyway.)
However my trout lived only about 3 minutes after leaving the water. They were dead by the time I got them into the kitchen and on the chpopping block.

Next time I am in the neighbourhood I'm coming for dinner at your place

Spike through the brain and into an ice slurry (if there is delay before filleting or cooking) is the best way to preserve the fish.

Okay then - make sure you have an appropriate knife and a scaler would also be a good investment :-)

Just a $20 filleting knife from Kmart will do the trick Steve. Don't want to cut into piss drinking time by going knife shoppin

Don't think we will be filleting - just gutting and gilling. They will no doubt be cooked whole.

Regarding the drinking - need to hold back a little anyway because I have to be in some condition to do some study when I get back home :-(
