Our preference is for clay balls, but as he is making 3 gb's we are not sure what the finances will allow. Another option is to use perlite with a clay ball top coat.

The Growbeds mould is the Roof of a Kenworth T600 Sleeper Cab, one of the perks of working for a transport company. This makes the beds 2.3m x .9m. (havent worked out how many litres that is going to work out to) too busy trying to figure out what to put in them.

Evening All,

as promised here is a photo of the new sexy tank from Joel, thanks to some friendly truck driving mates we were able to get it to Adelaide. The growbeds are not finished yet. They still need their stabling frames. We also have to decide on what type of sump to go for. There is also a fan which will go in above the door to help extract some of the midday heat, it was something like 32 degrees and dry today, it was very warm in the greenhouse.

Looks great!

My neighbor works for a transport company too, that is a neat idea for making the grow beds. About how much would the matting and resin cost to put together one bed?

Hi DD,

between the resin, matting & Sealer was around $150.00 oz, but we got 3 beds with a little left over.

Looks great guys. Would you mind posting a close up pic of the gh film locks. I am at that stage now and the thought of nearly 250 screws into our steel frame is not very appealing.

This is the website of the company that makes the product. www.redpathaghort.com

the system is similar to the vlock for shadecloth. You have channeling which has to be fasten down (Murray fastened it to the pine sleepers), once you have the greenhouse plastic in place a plastic strip is pushed into the channeling and held in place with small clips. We all ended up with very sore thumbs.

got my stuff, clips included, from them. Do you have anything holding it to the frame, or is it just locked in with the clips in the stripping? Would make life mucho easier.
