someone has dobbed u in. Play the game, talk to the body corporate. I thought you received approval. Talk about the value it adds to the whole property, that you will get advice on recouping your outlay from the body corporate. Do not take this lying down.

tell them that you'll list the body corporate and agents name on the forum as dully inducted mororns.

what will your course of action be?

HA i got it!

Today tonight and ACA LLLLLOOOOOVVVEEEEE shit like this!!

Get onto them.

Make a point about the water usage being 10% of what it would be if you had them in pots (and you can still legally water on tuesays and satdays)

They will rip 'em to shreds and promote AP at the same time!!!!!

segment will close with presenter shaking her head and saying "unbelieveable"

Body corps suck. Living by yourself working most of the time using F.A water, you have to pay the same water bill as the family of 5 next door with two cars and a kiddy pool in their backyard. To put the boot right in, each one of the units/flats have to pay an individual water service charge even though the units aren't separately metered. So the water company provides one service to the entire block, but get to charge each owner 50 odd bucks in service fee. If pipes blow after the main meter at the front of the block, its the responsibility of the owners to get it fixed through body corp, therefore there is only one service. The water provider takes no responsibility for service to individual units, only to the actual main block itself.

I had this issue some years back and took it up with the water company, but they assured me that legislation allows them to charge service fees on separately titled properties, but there is nothing requiring them to supply a meter at each titled property.

Tell the body corp, A) Its not a business and, B) They have no right to tell you how much water to use in a fish tank.

Then, get their response in writing and then take Steve's advice and go to the media. They love it even more when dips..ts don't listen to a reasonable explanation.

LB, sounds like what we went through. No one cared as to what we did until someone, for some reason, complained to our city. We had a pastor living in his motor home parked next to the house. I understand the city, if you let one live on a property you can't stop the others. So our pastor had to move, but he is retired and struggling. However, the other complaints have been resolved by talking to people at City Hall. We asked them what we needed to do to solve the problem. I agree, let them know that you are only growing your own veggies. Is it against their code to grow a small garden at your home? What does meet their codes?

Well the story is the letter came the body corporate secretary, not on an official BC letterhead. All the other owners are cool because since we have been here we have been looking after the common areas and watching over their properties since we work from home.

It has only been one member that has been cleaning up their unit after a recent departure of their tenant that has try to bully us to remove the system and pot plants around the front of the property. Have spoken to her to explain the system and cost savings in water..but still not happy..waiting to see if she organises a BC meeting to vote.

Its funny that my mother inlaw owns the property but the car spot with the system on, is classified as a guest carpark (on body corporate land) for our unit.

Could have left the old car on it rusting away I suppose :)

So no stopping us 8) system has been upgraded now with two extra beds...will posts details and photos later :D

Thanks everyone for your support :love7:
