THanks everybody - even Natasha said she likes it... which I am happy about.
The time consuming thing is going to be getting enough lants for the garden now... I have enough to start with and I am now planting seeds in tray for later transplanting :)

Managed to put most of a day's work into the memorial garden today - work was slow as it was very warm (would swear it was summer already!!!)
I have finished shaping the gardens, paths and rock work... I started with the 'serious' planting and all that is left now is to source more plants and to mulch the garden too - if I want it to look lush I am goint to have to preserve as much moisture in my garden as I can! Lucky for me there is about 100 cubic meters of mulch in different locations around our campus so I just need to raid the closest pile and add it to the garden... I like the way it is turning out - I have also added a small bench so I can now sit and relax - and stair blankly at the goldfish in the pond (as they feed off of the fast growing layer of algae). The water-lilies are happy and are putting out both new leaves and new flowers - looks wonderful as the flowers are so delicate :)

File comment: Christopher enjoys the tranquil waters as well - here he was keeping a close eye on his water logged sister as she pulled all the pebbles out of the stream

File comment: I love this photo - Emily spent all her time climbing in and out of the stream and over the bridge - yep, daddys little toad :)

It looks to me that you have one very qualified sidekick there Aquamad. Those photos are beautiful and the gardens and pond look great.

That he is - he knows dirt intimately :) ... He feeds the fish every afternoon (10 or so barramundi pellets do the trick, but at the rate that the algae is growing now I could cut back on that so that they keep the pond clean :)

THanks... I do like sitting there already and just ... well, nothing, just sitting :)

This would NOT have been p[ossible without the help of oh so many people from BYAP who put either money or materials towards this project... almost everything I have needed to buy for this garden has been payed for with the money raised by BYAP members and others... a few others sent me materials such as conduit and timers, which have been installed and are being well used. Thanks to EVERYBODY who has helped make this possible :D
