So I finally got to start on my greenhouse again tonight. didn't get much done, just finished one end. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to do the other end and the cross bars along the top.

Nope, just something so I am not walking on the weed cloth. The weed cloth is so I don't have to mow in there. would have rather use pea gravel, but the mulch was free.

Actually, this system it will basically be 2 of the Travis Hughey "Barrel-ponics" systems feeding from one 110 gal FT.

I hope.

Need one more barrel for it eventually.

ok, so I have a pump out of a whirl pool type bath tub ( have tub too so ideas about that would be cool.)

Think it is a bit overkill for a pump, or better too much than not enough?

Thanks,
Steve

p.s. and I just can't seem to figure out the best way to put in a sump so that the water level in the fish tank will remain constant.

What can I say, I am a n00bE

Well, there are probably a few ways to do it. One method people use is to put the fish tank as the high point in the system and the overflow of the fish tank feeds into the rest of the system which keeps the fish tank at the constant level of the outflow. From there the water goes through the flush tanks, grow beds and finally into a sump that is probably in the ground where a pump is.

As to how well this works with aeration, pump timing or float switches and getting solids out of the fish tank, I'm not sure as my fish tank is the lowest point in my system. And I'm still kinda new to this too but I've been reading a lot.
