Finally some rain to put water in my new tank
can actually turn the tap on and have water coming out :bigsmurf:

Weather forecast for tomorrow is heavy rain, so with luck - full tank

Calculated I need 66.67mm of rain + 10% = 75mm (3") to fill from the garage roof - got 10mm so far

Water tank update:

Received 28mm of rain all up, this equates to ~1,130litres (or 37.8% full)

Nice to be receiving rain in Bris area, one dam is now ~40% full, but the other 2 are dragging the levels down to just over 20%, the last rain is not included in those figures :D

well, it seems the rain gods have decided to bless Geelong. After 6 weeks good rain over June, early July, we have had diddly. The weather system has been working for us the past couple days. Had half an inch Thursday night with a heap of cloud around today. The wind has dropped and at 6pm it has started to rain. Expect it to continue all night and we should get an inch.

I know this isn't much for areas that when it rains it RAINS. For us tho it is great. We average 50mm for November so to get 3/4 of that within a couple days is good. Especially since it has been a dry spring.

Tank wise, I plumbed the new free ibc out the front rhs of the roof this arvo. We now capture everything that falls on the roof. Bled 1000lts from our 13600lt tank into the new big fishtank via the gh sump. If we get an inch tonight all our tanks will be chockers, 21,000lts including the 5000lt fishtank in the garage. If only i could get the bloody plastic on my hoops.
