I was thinking that I should take pictures of the build but it was over 110dec every day that I worked on it. I didn’t draw anything up just pictured it my mind and started cutting and screwing thing together. On the corners I drilled a recess whole and used 3 ½ inch deck screws. On the fish tasks sides I drilled holes for rebar to go through the landscape timber and pounded them into the ground. Before I put the liner in I used a can of expanding foam to filling the cracks. My yard is compacted clay and when dry it is like rock so there is no form below the ground. It doesn’t freeze here and the rebar should hold everything in place.

The pump put outs 243gph at 4ft with ¾ inch fill tube so I used 1 ¼ inch U siphon. I timed the fill and drain it’s running 16minute per cycle.

THe Temp is starting to cool down and the forcast is for only 95dec for a high all week. So I disconnected the grow bed last night and the Pond stay a 79-80dec F. air temp around high 60's. When reconnecting the Grow-Bed before work the Pond temp dropped by 3-4dec. It looks like the Green House build will be starting shortly. Got to keep them Tilapia nice and warm

Does anyone have links to building a Green house that is attached to a house?

My test kits should arrive in a day or two then I'll be able to find out where the PH is sitting and the other stuff.

I’ve hit my first sag. My Pond had a nice coating of green algae on the side and the water was nice a clear. I had cycled the system with some bait fish but when I put the Tilapia in they ate all the algae on the side of the pond. Now my water is turning green and starting to smell. I need to do a water change I think, but won’t be home until late tonight. Still waiting for my test kits to arrive so I can find out what the problem is I hope :dontknow:

Smelly water is a sign of a problem and a water change is a good bet. Check for any dead fish or detrius in the bottom of the tank. Make sure everything is circulating properly, has good oxygenation, and hasn't gone stagnant.

Hard to tell from the photo Bkaus... but the tank water doesn't look too bad....

Have you had a chance to test it? Has it settled of it's own accord?

I don't know has fast the beans grow but from seed to sending up runner in two weeks seems fast.

I got my test kits last night and plan on testing tomorrow. I did check the PH it was 8.2. Not surprised because that's what my fish tanks are. I'll have to make a plan on how to lower it to ~6.5. Everything is going ok so far.
