Hi guys

I've just discovered a pretty severe green algae problem in my tank. The water's green and so are the tank walls. I've cleaned the front wall, as I want to see the fish, but the algae comes back pretty much by the next day. How do I combat this? Or is the algae good for the system and should I leave it? Any advice would be great.
