Thanks Les. So you have about 6kgs of fish biomass giving you that fantastic growth. I will have a couple hundred tiddlers shortly, at 20 grams each, giving me a biomass of 4kg. Will ultimately have 4000lt of gb space, so could comfortably expect to handle about 40-50 kg of fish biomass b4 worrying about extra gbs. I should be able to grow them thru to next easter and 250 grams each without too much trouble. See how we go. Thanks once again.

Yes mate, the empty one is at the bottom of the drain pipe...as the inflow flap opens, the outflow closes and vice versa.

The red perspex thingy in the drain pipe is the water level sensor WLS mkVII

I have a venturi drain setup in the main tank which sets the water level above the height of the inflow pipes, one of the inflow flaps will be open at any one time (and the rest closed).

Water is pumped from the sump tank into the main tank and flows to the black boxes and into whichever inflow flap is open.

I also have one of the inflow pipes slightly higher than all the rest which does not have a flap on it...if all other flaps are closed, the water rises and flows into GB3 (no flap on it), this is a safety feature so that if there is a malfunction on any of the flaps, the water won't just flood and overflow.

Do you want some pics of the whole thing, bit dark right now but can have a go in the morning :?:

sensational job ekb,

the way you have combined practicability with artistic value is very appealing to me. things seem to flow really well in your system. i get the impression your chi is flowing through the system, out for the rest of the world to expirience. its as if you are relining your chakra's by exteriorising energy into the physical world. i get the sense that your greenhouse is sacred place to you. i would love to visit some day.

keep it up young feller. bet you've already added years to your life.

well done.

An update:
My AP 3,000 litre water tank arrived last Tuesday, thought it best to do the job properly so took my time and finished installation today...for those yet to install their tanks, just take it one step at a time :D (sorry vb, haven’t kept up with the latest on your install, how is it going :bigsmurf: if it wasn’t for receiving the wrath of Janet I would have changed the font to extra small for this  ))

Pic1 - Weather bureau predicted rain in the afternoon, soon stopped that from happening by having my tank ready

Pic2 – rest of tank

Pic3 – advised by AP wife that an AP path required from patio area to GH and large AP gravel put around stepping stones...this has come about due to the pool fence being moved and a muddy path being worn into the area

Once this AP priority is behind me, will be able to focus on getting the pump connected to the RSG filter and fitting the modified electronic WLS to each GB – got some of the main components for it and preliminary laboratory tests are encouraging
