Surely you don't think I had time to cook cakes as well as the bbq, mulch the garden, clean the house and look good for the weekend do you?

Faye, just a ? about logistics. Did you set it up as a "free roaming" tour, with presenters at certain stations, or did you run it as a "guided" tour with a host/hostess leading groups through the gardens? I've done historic site and natural area tours in both ways and seen advantages to each. (With free roaming you can have guests returning or lingering in areas of particular interest to them, but you can also have problems with questions running long and presenters getting bogged down and unable to stick to making presentations on a regular schedule. With a guided tour the guests are ushered through and there are less problems with bottle necks, and scheduling. The down side is often the guests do not have the opportunity to gain more information from the presenters that would either increase thier knowledge or interest in the subject.) I guess the best one I ever did was a combined free roaming/guided tour. We had presenters at various stations and the guides would make presentations on the walks between stations and assist in helping maintain the time schedule. The presenters at the stations would cover the topic at that particular station, and answer questions specifically to that area. The guests were allowed to split off from and join a later group if they had in depth questions or wanted to watch a particular demonstration at a station.

As to the snags, I guess you could say our "American" brats/bratwurst are close to the "British" bangers. (Primarily pork with seasonings in a natural casing) Most of the time we par boil them and then grill them. Some of us like to "drowned" them again before serving, we toss them into a pan of beer we put on the grill. Then top them however you like.

Kevin

Channel 10 Perth - the weather is being filmed live from this location advertising the open garden

Fridays Habitat in the West Australian newspaper did a 2 page spread advertising the open day. The wrtite up was about aquaponics as well as pictures and has generated a huge amount of interest.
