I had a good time!

Nice to see so many lovely visitors really excited about the system.

Faye, husband and family were delightful hosts. The pet dog was lovely!

A lot of people passed through the gate and supported the charity.

Several of the older lady visitors were awesome and inspiring! One lovely 85 year old was so knowledgeable and sharp as nails! Another lovely old lady was quite friendly  delighted when she fed the trout and they did the "I am a dolphin - look at meeee... flying out of the water trick!"

I invited one lovey older lady to come swim in the fish tank with me but the lady graciously declined the offer.

The smiles on their faces really made my day! Priceless!

The only problem were the dodgy "men in black!" .. the weird guys with BYAP shirts and caps. They kept spouting technical stuff about fish poop, bacteria, growbeds and stuff. (Was a pleasure to meet you all!)

Thanks Faye and family for a lovely day!

Thanks Joel! You have a lot to answer for!

Alright, a very busy day, sooooo many people to talk to, I've don't know how many times I've explained how aquaponics works today... A great fun day though, lots of interested people who were keen to see how it all worked. Thanks to all those who helped for the day, for those coming tomorrow, it's going to be even bigger and better... :)

We had 350 people through today and tomorrow they are expecting a whole lot more considering that this morning it was raining for a while, and tomorrow is going to be fine and sunny. Will try and get a heap more photos tomorrow, realized only after getting home that we hadn;t really taken many photos because we were so busy talking to everyone..

Very nice! Looks almost like one of those "set it up for a weekend, and take it all down" garden shows. (You know, the sort where they spend all sorts of money to make a three day show to impress the masses.) Although we know this one is set up for 365 days a year, and hopefully for many, many years! Very, very nice show Faye, Joel and crew!

Now, where are the really impressive pictures??? The ones of the brats coming off of the grill?

Kevin

There will be more pics to come as time allows. I need some sleep. And yes it is like all that effort for a 2 day show. I did have a class of horticulture students, 12 of them and they did an exceptional job helping us get ready.
Now tell me do you want to see some of the garden pictures as there areabout 7 different themed garden rooms or do you only want aquaponics.
Now the brats on the barbie is that our good ol' aussie snags in buns.
We have 200 ready for today and I'm between cutting the onions.
We also have cappucinos andsconeswith jam and cream.Got to go and blowervac the driveway now.

I would looooove to see extra pics of the gardens!

"Brats" are "bratwurst", a kind of sausage. Husband eats them in a bun with mustard, and I've seen them served up with sauerkraut, too.
