More surface area means more efficient conversion, assuming it isn't so much as to hurt the flooding and draining and oxygen levels.

I am going to see if the gravel and sand place I get the 1/4" gravel from has something like a coarse sand next time.

Wow- is the freight extra?
With my maths $290 / 500 = .58c each.
Maybe there is a margin there for something I don't know about!

G'day all,

about time for an update....well the number of bathtubs in my backyard is ever increasing with my goal 22, 16 gb's and 6 nursery/yabby tubs underneath, 3 left to go :D

purchased 200 silvers today with 100 put in the main tank and another 100 way to small so the nursery tank has been put into good use. the other 2 bottom storey tubs have got the yabbies and goldfish.

Ive got everything running on the one pump, when the gb's flood the lower tanks get a water change. all the taps to the gb tubs were space further to accomodate the extra 8, one tap per 2 tubs rather than 1

heres some pics

Hey Worms,
I see you put your fencing on the tub side of the posts, are expecting your "livestock" to bolt and take off for the neighbors?

tt, mine look more like tadpoles than silvers at the moment so you get a headstart.....and you'll need it.

Moke, coulpe of 'live wires' should keep the fishies safe form the neighbour...actually keep them safe from my acrobatic dogs, either that or lose them.
