if you are using live feeds, gut loading is a good idea. Eg if the barra dont eat worms and the goldies do, feed the goldies a last supper of worms before feeding to the barra, so then the barra digests the worms directly. This should increase your fcr slightly as some of the "wormy goodness" would go straight to the barra, not through the goldies...(you can gut load the goldies with whatever you want the barra to eat). Goldies are generally pigs, so you could gut feed more worms then they would actually digest, as the barra will do the digesting...

don't think it would be worth gut loading the worms if the barra eat worms though, as barra being carnivirous they probably wont be able to digest the plant matter in the worms anyways... Edit: but if feeding to omnivirous fish you could probably give gut loading the worms a go....

I've got the tubs for my BSF farm (Step 1 complete)
Step 2. make a circular ramp as shown in the BSF links - need warm weather for the BSF's now :roll:
