Not that i didn't trust you C1!

Just thought i'd put it out there for people to read.

Sometimes people pay more attention to text than life experience.

Oh, and i wanted to set my mind at ease with the MEK in our PVC cement ;)

Seems like we should allow a day or so for it to off gas the MEK (or until we cant smell it at least ;)

FYI olfactory detection threshold (i can smell it level ;)) for MEK is about 8ppm

Can cause CNS depression

So that people are aware of MEK effect that can cause "CNS" depression is .....

Central Nervous System depression.... may effect the brain!

Quote:

There is also limited evidence that MEK is a teratogen in animals .... it should be treated as a possible teratogen in humans

Quote:
A Teratogen can cause reproductive damage and reduce potency or fertility in both men and women. Some damage sperm and eggs........Pregnant woman are at a greater risk....

... and yep MEKP is majorly worse... can effect the liver....

suggested exposure is to NOT exceed 0.2 ppm at any time

So that's all very interesting, but what does it mean if using fibreglass tanks and the like which are cured?

Mate, I reckon the only reason I'm still OK after hanging around surf factories is that most of the stuff didn't make it into my lungs because of all the smoke already there.... and the rest was washed out and severely diluted by copious and frequent inundations of Jack Daniels.....

The rest.... well that probably was taken care of with a daily three hour surf session

Little more complex that that steve!
depends on whether it is a relief (out of a mould) with gelcoat In or out.
Best I say use what you have....
If the fibres are exposed and falling off ( surface degredation) then flow coat it! Imagining bf in panic mode, DONT you have been eating asbestos from brake for years- specially if your in the city!
If you want a new one then go to the Doc first to see if you have a life.
VB- Don't panic check like I said, we'll go from there.
I was going to make an even more bold statement but can't afford to prove anything conclusive nor do I want to. I'm doing alright for a 60 model! Thats 1960...
I say again PM me if anyone likes, Litigation is just too costly!

Steve mostly you will get GP which is arh general purpose...
The retailers will look at you with a dumb look and say Um.. yeh yeh Um what???? Iso is GP, othophalic premium grade isophthalic polyester resin yielding excellent chemical resistance
