OMG  rblaster! your toms are looking awesome!

no problem for the support  ! i love how you took a full hydro system, and replaced it with a fish tank! your system will convince that hydro systems can be easily converted to aquaponics! fish is the only real difference.

hey your system is so cool. keep it going!

Very nice orchid. I used to have a couple like that, and always had good success with them. After it has blossomed, you may be able to cut the bloom stem back to just above the next joint down. It will then re-bloom from there. It looks like it may be doing that for you already -- second blooming from the same stalk?

thanks. i bought it it had flowers and when they fell off it started to grow more buds but then the gremlins got ahold of it and the buds ended up getting broken off so it started a new shoot, that side stem is dead i just have waited to cut it off cause i don't know alot about them. so since i have had it this would be the 3rd set of flowers if the last buds hadn't gotten broken off

so latley i have been having problems with cogging in my system, the roots from the toms have gotten so big that they fill the tube and stop the water from flowing and it leaks all over the place spilling raw water on the plants below killing them and not to mention flooding my apt. so i am thinking about building another system using flood and drain. im thinking of using a 24" diameter pvc pipe and cutting out section from the top leaving some full sections for strength. using hydroton for media. this way i can play with some auto syphons and hopefully eliminate some of my problem while prolly creating more. either way i get to play with my system more here is a drawing of what i was thinking of doing

wow, always good to expand your systems ;)

Is it easy enough to get end caps for 24" pipe? I've never looked so I don't know.

The local council is doing massive works in our area at the moment, putting water in to the suburb. There are huge piles of black 24" pipe just lying around beside the road! Oh it is so tempting
