MC there is another sunfish you might want to try as it grows out a bit larger than bluegill is rock bass -in Missouri (where it is native) and in Canada it is called goggle eye. Very tasty- and tugs on the line really good about as strong as a smallmouth bass. Not sure you will find a supplier in your area.

the part that i find interesting is that there are no civil or criminal penalties for keeping tilapia or crayfish. the worst that will happen is they will be killed. the state can not even take them from you, they can only kill them. for them to be taken from you you have to give them to the state.

MC, What is that? Maybe a hybrid bluegill? The lines look a bit different from what I know as a bluegill. The dip over the eyes is odd to me.

its called a coppernose

coppernose is a good small game fish. but Ive herd there not as prolific of breeders as blue gill. but there supposed to have a better taste tho

The list MC posted is what restricted in Nevada, a state where gambling and prostitution are both legal! I wonder how long until California starts adding more critters to the list?

aa you have a point, i think about it this way, Californians put more regulations on thangs, as NV just make them legal or illegal.

oo ya, i asked a person who is in the know, and he told me that where i am at is perfect for tilapia, there legal, i can get them not even 5 miles away for my house. that maid me very happy!

even if tilapia become illegal here, ill still go and catch wild tilapia. if i don't tell anyone, it wont be a problem. but i highly doubt that from happening.

i dont gamble or hire prostitutes, i just wanted some fish. i can get a machine gun easyer then a fish o well. i was just watching this cartoon about nevada. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7ahvVjr ... ed&search= i dont think anybody should watch it though. its kinda odd. anyway, im just gonna raise bluegill and catfish. dont need to heat the water.

how hot dose it get during winter? perch might be a good option for winter, or even trout. but i would 1st think of a black pipe/solar water hear as my 1st choice.
