I have had a major problem with aphids in my system.

They are sucking the energy out of all my vine plants before they can turn into fruit.

We originally thought it would be a good idea leve all the insects be... and just let the good insects kill the aphids but there are way too many aphids!!!!

Has anyone got the solution?

Should i buy live lady bugs to eat them?

If practical, try hosing them off or maybe try a garlic spray.

The aim would be to repel them by making their food source less tasty.

It may affect their breeding cycle, ever tried kissing an aphid with garlic breath?

cheers

p.s. Ignore the last random comment ...

I didn't wipe them (too lazy, too many other jobs, too many bugs) so I sprayed them :D I seem to have gotten rid of most of them.

Now, to deal with the spider mites.

CC, I spray the aphids with seasol. They dry up and die, quite quickly

Or you could try some DT (diatomacious earth) {probably not spelt correctly} I think this helped me, can't really be certain as I also place yellow sticky stuff down aswell.
