Just monitor it AM. You will soon know if they are bad by the fact that your non-cherry toms, chillis, capsicums & zuchinni will cop it. I've been using a couple of organically certified products to help reduce the impact of fruit fly here.

Has anyone ever seen this before? A stacks on of caterpillars. they sort of have pointy yellow heads and were munching eucalyptus tree. If they are okay I will put them back, but if they are an introduced pest I will burn their asses.

i remember seeing catterpillars in big "bunches" like that on a eucalypt tree in primary school, we called them spitfires, which is what i thought they might be, except googling them, i don't think they are....(they look like the ones we called spitfires though)

They're sawfly larvae.
I think they eat eucalypt and they ooze smelly stuff... might be a bit strong for silvers.
I remember them as a kid too, but haven't seen them for years.

Interesting, seems they are attracted to eucalytus and children. Primary School was the only place I EVER saw them

Okay - another addition... ANTS!
These red ants ate their way through several of my air lines this week :(
The air line is made of silicon... not too sure what they would do with it - never hade this happen before :(
