hmmmm..... :laughing3:

Doesn't look as funny now it is on its page of its own so:

the toebidity scale reads from 0 to 5 :bigsmurf:

Have to put that in the AP toolkit "the AP toebidity test meter"

well i went to hook-up my 3/4in auto syphon hose to my 3/4in plastic hose BIB, and started to fill my grow-bed, trying to find where i want to have the top of my auto syphon, but any where i would put the bend(top-bottom) the grow bed was slow to fill up, so my auto syphon did not kick on at all  .
so i have a couple of options :| ;

1)wash all the gravel, and hope the extra mass would make the GB Fill faster, like ice in a glass.(no money spent)

2) buy a bigger pump(to expensive)

3) buy a new GB, Smaller hose BIB, and a smaller hose for the auto syphon.(still spending money)

1 & 3 are more likely, my free 66l GB that i got, is only 13in high, and has rounded bottom, round corners. so the enter spot for my auto syphon BIB leaves 1/2 of standing water( the round corner prevents it to be flush with the bottom) :? .

i am asking you should i just scrap my GB and get a new GB with 90deg Corners? or would the standing water not be a problem at the bottom?

please opine, kinda want to know if spending the extra bucks for a new GB is worth it.

and what is the best way to wash gravel?

DF, A little standing water in the bottom of the growbed is fine. Mine keep about an inch of water.

Can you use a slip-fit reducer to loop the siphon? Keep your growbed, keep the fitting in the side of the growbed, but right after you exit the growbed, put a slip-fit reducer in, and make the loop of the siphon with smaller-diameter hose. That way, you only by the reducer and a length of smaller hose.

Janet thank you for all your thought, your solution is so much simpler, and better. but unfortunately i forgot to check the board before i went shopping. oops.

Up Date

ok, some good thangs have happened in the past few days.

i was chillin with one of my buddys, and i started talking about AP, and my Build. my friend used to have a pond, where he had Gold Fish, and 2 Channel cats. then he told me he'll be right back, so i sat there and he came back with a 350gph pump in hand, and he gave it to me. SCORE!! a free fully working 350gph pond pump. so cool, now i have 2 pumps, 130gph, and a 350gph. awesome day.

i also went shopping.

i ended up getting, and 18g(68L) Tote for my grow bed(on sale $4.00). a new bib. but the only thing is Pet Smart is the only place around to curry aquarium safe sealant. but there out  . so my build is on Hult until i get the sealant.

i guess i can waste the time on wash my gravel. i took me 5 hours to wash 25 pounds worth, is that normal to pend that much time on that little? i am still getting a little cloudiness and brown color
