C1: No, my brother got them from a place up in pickering brook.
Jaymie: Nah, that hole was already there....
Daniel: I couldn't quite figure out what he/she is. I have all the blue marron in a tank together. The black ones are all in another. So who knows... I want to get some more off them though.

They all are just hiding at the moment, they are eating very little. Must be too cold for them...

All of them should easily grow to a foot in length if you let them....

Is how I have seen them, almost lost their blue for moss.
Called mossy back if you find a biggy.

At some point I want to do another import of Crays from down under, but the next time I'd like an assortment of Redclaws, Yabby and Marron. Does anyone here know of an Aussie farm that handles all three? And that might export?

For the redclaws I definitely want to stick with hybrids, wakamin or even the newer ones from Clive Jones! But it will be a while before I can do another import.

Rassd71,
You can get Redclaw and Malaysian Prawn out of Miami. Then you wouldn't have to export/import. I don't know if the Redclaws are hybrid, though.

As far as I know, the ones in Florida were imported through central America in the 90's to Michael at Stick Fins fish farm and are not wakamin or the new hybrid. I currently have a small breeding stock of Wakamin, findler redclaw. But would LOVE to get some Marron and Yabbies, the yabbies would be for the aquarium trade only as they have been designated an invasive species in just about every state I've heard about!

Rass71,
if you manage to get things ready for an import of Marron and Yabbies, please PM me. I would go in on it, I have been wanting the Yabbies for some time.

Mathew

Yabbies will be the tough one. But I'll definitely let you know if I manage it. But it will be at least 6 months.
