Joyce,
I hope the past twentyfour hours has provided Will and his wife with promising news about Danielle's condition and treatment. I know that often the first twenty four to forty eight hours are hard to evaluate the condition of a patient after brain surgery. Hopefully the prognosis is good, and they are starting to see signs of improvement.
I will keep your friends in my thoughts and prayers!
Kevin

Thank you for all your love and prayers. An update on Danielle: The surgery went as well as could be expected. The mass was about the size of 2 golf balls and they were only able to remove 40% of it. The bleeding was so bad if they had continued she would not have survived. She is stable for now but the tumor is still growing rapidly. Will and Kerri are doing well with the strength of our Lord. We won't know what the next step is until the lab tests are back sometime between Monday and Wed. to tell us what kind of growth this is and what treatment is needed. We are staying close to them so I will not be home much. The rest of the ministry has stepped up and is taking care of business while we are gone, so I will check in as often as possible and bring updates. Love to all of our friends, and Will and Kerri send their thanks as they are very grateful to you for your support. (Will also is glad he taught me to post pictures.) :)

Thought that I would share this with you Joyce as I am sure Will and Kerri would love to hear it as well. On Thursday morning @ 9:25am I stopped for a brief moment to say a little prayer for Danielle. Maybe I should have let my co-workers know my plan before hand. One of the gals noticed I was standing completely still and was very concerned that I was having another spell of a quick drop in blood pressure. She came to my aid and saw tears rolling down my face and asked what the problem was. I then explained about Danielle and that I was just saying a little prayer for her. What happened next was awesome. She passed the word to everyone else and 12 people on the line all stopped working and prayed. The supervisor showed up just about that time. He started in on everyone and each just smiled back at him and went back to work as if he had said nothing. He later found out what had occurred and came and apologized to each and everyone of us. Quite a day. We will continue to think about and pray for all of you.

DownRiverDan: Thanks for that great story. I have teary eyes now and feel the hand of God as He is touching so many through their prayers for Danielle. The Drs. said yesterday they could not understand why Danielle was still alive with the tumor being so big, and why she was not showing so many of the signs that go with this.
A new update. Will called late last night, they took Danielle off the medicine that kept her under for a little bit. Will and Kerri were able to hold her, and she responded to them and could wiggle her toes and smile. We are all believing for a quick recovery.

Prayer does work indeed. My litte girl (all of 6 months) was 8 weeks early do to a accident that my wife sustained from working on the ramp. Little Kya has over come every single obstical even as the Dr told us to get ready for the worse.

My familys prayers are heading out to the litte girl. I have confidence that all will be well with the little one.

Dan, shows you have a good super. Sometimes we forget that they are human too!

Shawn, hopefully the worst for Kya is over, and she will never have another day of problems.

Joyce, Will and Kerri can take some comfort in knowing that little children are often amazing in thier capacity to adapt to health issues which would totally disable an adult. My fingers are still crossed that the tests are going to provide good news. Until then I will be praying for Danielle.

Kevin, you are right about the resiliency of children. Our oldest daughter was in a car wreck at age 2.5 and sustained a brain contusion. She suffered no ill effects, but an adult would have had to re-learn how to eat their oatmeal had they experienced the same injury.

I know Danielle will amaze us all.

Thank you again for your prayers. First the Drs. were amazed that Danielle did not show the signs of such a large tumor. Now they are watching as there is no swelling at the site of the surgery and normally her eyes would be swollen shut. There is no swelling in her eyes, not even any discoloration. She opens her eyes when she can and wiggles the toes that we were told might not work. Will is working on a blog so he can be in direct contact with all of his new friends out there. It is 1:30 in the morning and I could wait no longer to give the new report. Hope to have more good things later in the day.
Best wishes to you all.

Joyce,

Great to hear the good news about Danielle. I too have been praying for her as her story moved me and I know that God is an awesome God and can do immeasurably more than we can imagine. Will continue to pray and pass it on to my family who I know will join the prayer support. Love to Will and Kerri.

Joyce,
Sounds great! It helps to remind us that God can perform miracles, and hopefully he will help heal Danielle.
Get yourself some rest! I know how hard it is when you are trying to help support friends going through a tragic event. Sometimes you get so selfless that you end up hurting yourself.
