Cold isent it whats everybody using to heat there fish tanks Even with 2 100 watt heaters my tanks are down to 12 deg the trout dont mind the silvers hate it

Feel for ya F&F....by just having my pump circulating the water in the tank only my water temp is 17c in the morning....SP still don't like it much, but haven't had to use heaters as yet.

SP are still in the sump tank (300l)

yea mine are eating buggerall FF. Got 2 heating wands like u, in one tank but not getting over 15C at the mo. Every few days i feel sorry for them and grab a couple dozen live worms from the worm farm, at least they eat them.

Mines 13.5 atm ,havent seen any fish for 8 days but theres none floating so i guess theyre still alive!Algae probs so cant see much of anything!

Mine is 18 or 19 in the morning, that is with a 200 watt heater and the pumps off at night. Gets up to about 21.5 by end of the day.

Better put your snow covers over things tonite you Vic folks....

Mind you ain't going to be any better here in NSW..... picking we'll have a solid blanket of snow from the mountains through Blue Mountains, Bathurst, Orange, Tamworth ec tomorrow morning

might even reach as far as you pyschochook .... :D

Delgrade a bare patch of dirt is much cheaper to look after :D ! But not as much fun! :wink: .100 dollar salads here and have to buy fish atm but ONE DAY ill get to eat my own AP grown fish! Maybe :roll:

Best start to the snow season in thirty years jtjf.... Threadbo and Perisher already have a nearly 2mtr base.... Selwyn has a 1.6mtr base....

Coldest day in Sydney for thirty years today....

Promised the kids I'd take them back to NZ for Xmas to see their grandmother.... been five years since we last went....

Took them skiing all day right up the top of Whakapapa.... 1.6mtr base.... made it back to the carpark about 17:30... drove two hours to Hawera to nan's place..... for xmas eve....

Yep that's right skied the day before xmas day.... have actually skied there on New Years day.... off season all day pass.... $25

Weird mountain though.... this is the ski field 17th June 1996....

For our overseas members and any avid LOTR fans... the middle photo (img2) is Mount Ngauruhoe.......

All the scenes for Mordor and Mt Doom were filmed on Mount Ngauruhoe on the neighbouring Mt Ruapehu .... that's the one erupting in the previous post.
