Hi DRD,
the barrels are looking good :D maybe you could either add a little bit more gravel to the grow beds or reduce the flood height a bit. That would reduce some evaporation issues.
I like the bean. I'm looking forward to seeing it take over the roof ventilators

Hi Jaymie,
The beans could very well reach the peak the way it is growing. Might need a sturdy ladder to harvest.

Thanks Mike. hehehe

Hey Les- did you notice that I replaced the duct tape holding the shade cloth on the growbed with clips made from short pieces of pipe. Durn tape does not hold up well

My beans continue to grow out of sight. The cukes are flowering a bunch right near the base of the plants. Planted some tomato cuttings and a cocks comb seedling. Fish are happy :D DownRiverDan is happy :D

Yeppers tragic it is just a matter of time. I lose my job of 23 years in July or August of next year. Then I will have time and some severance pay to finance the project.

Not sure but my system may lack potassium. Posting these pictures to see if it might be something else instead.

I am getting lots of flowering and fruiting on the cukes~ more than I have ever seen on a plant in the dirt garden in fact. But the leaves on a couple bean plants sure look as if they are not getting enough potassium. :?
