Most insciped first half ever from QLD. Kicking game was a shocker. Far too many missed tackles. Lucky NSW kept dropping the ball. They just didn't seem to show any urgency. Still two games to go.

Was certain Gallen would get an early shower, but not even a send off. Doubt he will go for even a few weeks.

Bring back the old days of Barry Gomisal (spelling). I'm sure I remember a brawl erupting, and play went on with QLD scoringa try. Maybe I'm living in a fantasy world.

What does it tell our kids about violence. How do I tell my son its not right to hit his brother because he annoying?

I quit playing rugby after getting a cheap shot in the back of the head, when an old fat forward was lumbering back to get on side.

We have an interesting series this time at least. A bit scary but that's all good. :)

And to any overseas friends who are confused by this whole discussion, State of Origin is a three game series of Rugby League between the neighbouring Aussie states of Queensland and New South Wales.
Very serious business! :wink: But all in good fun.
A good old fashioned grudge match. If you've never seen a game of League it's available over most of the world and highly recommended. You'll usually see the hardest played games if you do.
The next game in three weeks will be something to see, NSW haven't won a series in 7 (SEVEN) years and have a real good shot this year, they are out for blood and QLD are, well QLD! Gonna be real good indeed.
