Went to feed my jade perch this morning to find that one of my fish had jumped out in the night.

I've been doing aquaponics for 3.5 years now and this is a first for me.

Is this common with jade perch? have I just been lucky so far?

Didn't think they jumped. I know trout are renowned for it.

I have silver perch and one decided "life" looked better on the outside :-)

But it was just the one, no further jumpers

I've had SP and JP jump out of the water. But only when feeding them and only when they were pretty hungry.

Never lost one that way
