I haven’t pulled up any more plants to check, but my tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants seem to be okay. I might have gotten the infested plant out in time. Thanks for sharing the information about control by flooding, and I will do this if necessary. I’m also starting my own plants from seed instead of buying transplants, and sterilize the soil I start them in.

Stay aware. If you had them in a couple plants, you have them everywhere, they just haven't multiplied enough to be an issue, yet. Tomatoes and Okra are just two I can think of that seem to be magnets for RKNs. Good luck.

I pulled out a soil potted parsley plant that I planned to put into my AP grow bed, and found lots of root galls. It went into the trash instead. So far the only plants I’ve found the RKNs on have been purchased and grown in soil, so I think (hope) that’s how I got them. I read that cold weather kills them, so am hoping for a cold winter.

RKN update. Rediscovered someone I had forgotten about ..... a neem tree nursery. Visited and bought a couple seedlings. Also got a large garbage bag full of fresh leaves and twigs. Ran the sticks and leaves through a food processor and buried the green manure in the sand. Nematodes don't care for the cooler weather, so I can't tell if it's the neem slurry or the weather, but the RKN activity is way down. The spring and summer months are going to be interesting.
Also, a little further research turned up another RKN remedy that sounds a little promising. Research has been done on the effects of the Jatropha plant on RKN populations. Researchers trialed the seedcake as a remedy with fairly good success. I can't find anyone in the US that has seedcake. Plenty seems to be available in India. I know Jatropha grows well in my area so I'll be on the lookout for a plant I can strip some leaves and seed pods from and try some Jatropha green manure.
Going to try to keep a Neem tree and a Jatropha in 1 gallon pots and let them grow at the head of my beds. The roots should grow out of the pots into the sand and hopefully the chemicals coming off the roots will keep RKNs away. Not very scientific, but there's hardly anything available that kills RKNs and is fish-friendly.
The battle continues.
