Hi, my system is running well, from what I can see anyway.
Does anybody have an idea as to what neutriant is lacking on my cucumber plants or is it maybe a bug problem.
My tomatoes are flowering well but not making tomatoes, wind bees and bugs are present, any ideas.
Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Your cucumbers look like they could have Magnesium deficiency. Maybe try a slightly heaped teaspoon of Epsom salts per 1000L. Alternatively, if your pH is in the low to mid 6's, maybe try a slightly heaped teaspoon of Dolomite lime per 1000L, this will also increase your pH slightly and add pH buffering capacity.

Temperature and season could be playing a big part in both the nutrient deficiency and flowers not setting fruit. Temps and daylight hours in SA should be dropping substantially at the moment. For fruiting plants especially, if the root zone (ie: water temp) gets below 20°C, their ability to take up minerals such as Magnesium, Calcium and Potassium, starts to reduce. Once root zone temps drop below 16°C their uptake of nutrient pretty much stops.

I would recommend growing plants more suited to the season, ie: Leafy greens, lettuce etc.

Nutrient issues aside, your cucumbers look as though they could also have the start of powdery mildew.

Hi, Thanks for the info and suggestions, my PH is relatively stable between 6.8 and 7.2
Water temp is still holding in the low 20 degrees.
600L in fish tank.
1.2m x 1.2m x 300mm Growbed
Gravel and leke clay ball grow media
I’m using a 6000L 100W led white lite to extend the light time.
Is there any instruments out there to test neutriants?

How do these readings compare to ideal water conditions?
