Thanks! Have been squishing them... my poor little sprouts... first squished by kids fingers now getting munched lol.

I have something like that in New Jersey It grows into a yellow and black striped beetle.
Colorado Potato Beetles are a black and yellow striped, I had 200 eggplants planted in the garden and in 3 days of neglect, all the plants were complete defoliated. Put on some latex gloves and start squishing the yellow larvae between your thumb and index finger. The beetles fall to the ground as soon as they feel you moving the plant around, smash them too. They are no friends of your plants.

they leave bunches of little yellow eggs on the undersides of the leaves they look like small grains of rice attached at the end.

In the garden I found that if I get the bottom and tops of all the leaves damp then dust with pulverized lime it makes them leave. They just go someplace else and wreak havoc.

Looks a little like spider mite. Do you have any spiders-wed hanging around the plant?

Anyone know what this insect is? I am having huge dramas with my plants being eaten and this morning saw cockroaches, crickets and this thing... I don’t know what to do with my current pest issue.

They look like aphids, but the other thing you might want to consider is the fact that the plant is in the kitchen. Cooking residues could also be a problem in the near future.
