Hi looking to make a drum into a swirl filter. When I cut the holes in the drum I plan to have PVC going into both how can I seal these homes and make them waterproof?

Uniseals are a good way to put pipes through a barrel wall. Choose a uniseal to fit the pipe you're using and then make a hole in the barrel to fit that size uniseal using a hole saw (hole size is listed online). You can use a drop or two of dish soap on the uniseal and pipe when installing the pipe.

Here is a video I glanced at that looks like it's pretty good but don't use the petroleum jelly, dish soap works and is easier to remove.

Yep those are uniseals; they work great.
