Do many people clean the roots out of their growbeds. I’ve had tomatoes growing and the roots seem to have taken over. What is the best way to get rid of them?

what's your substrate? I use LECA in mine so I just pull out the whole plant when finished, clean off the root balls of the expanded clay and that's it. Any left over roots disintegrate over time and worm action in the bed assists in this. My beds are only 3 years old so I haven't done a complete remove/clean replace as they are still draining well, albeit a bit slower.
