Hi folks

I am keen to get my system up and running again after a 2 year hiatus.

I shut it down after a big season of trout and an inability to remove the solids that were ending up in my grow bed.

My system has one 500L grow bed with clay medium and a 1500L tank that sits below it. My plans are to put a few koi in this time and to focus on the vegies rather than fish (for food).

I am keen to filter the water that goes up to the grow bed (as this has been building up over time and not disappearing...or should it???)

Anyway, I am keen on simple construction ideas for a filter system. I have seen a few vortex style filters but they look like they need to sit above the system.

Pictures and ideas much appreciated!!!!

A simple radial flow system should do the trick.
