Sorry to hear about the medical complications. What type of fish did you get?

Anyone know a good squirrel recipe?

They ate all the tomatoes and are starting on my peppers.

Little bastards did a number on our strawberries too! One of our dog houses is right next to the garden, but that dog is getting older and not as interested in chasing squirrels as she was only last year. My grand-father used to roast them over an open fire, plenty good tasting plus you get to watch the bastards roast!

Thinking it may be the birds also. Walked outside one day and maybe 8 or so birds flew out of the vines.

I have 3 fish now. 2 Plecos and 1 tiny goldfish. Thinking that the previous snail problem is the issue. Think they where eating the snails and dying from from not being able to shit out the shells. Fish where found bloated, but no damage to them.

Had hoped my plecos would eat them after they got to a good size, but they wont eat the snails or the eggs. Herd about just going larger goldfish in the 6-8 in range. I am really thinking about shutting this system down for the year. Been more of a pain in the ass.

System is back up and running no plants or fish yet. Growbed frame repair again do to wood sagging on the hardware. Water was added yesterday and hope to be getting more catfish near the end of next month.

Well 3 weeks with catfish and I have some deaths. This has to be the shittiest batch of catfish I have gotten. 2 deaths in a few days of getting them. A few more deaths a week later. Overall bad health fish from the start. Now today with another large group of deaths. Biggest notice was spots on some and redness on bases of fins. Will do a water levels soon.

I think I am down to one fish now. This rain that won’t stop have anything to do with it?

As for water levels. pH is a bit low closer to 6.8 other than that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
